Originally an upside-down house, this property underwent a complete renovation to restore a more conventional, functional layout and restore it to it’s natural flow. The bedrooms were relocated upstairs, while the general living spaces were returned to the ground floor, maximising accessibility and practicality.
To minimise disruption, the house was carefully gutted in a sequenced manner, allowing the client to continue living on-site through-out the refurbishment. The transformation began with the upstairs where two new bedrooms were introduced, along with and ensuite facility in the master bedroom. A bespoke staircase, featuring glass panelling and elegantly wrapped in oak balustrading, painted to tie in with the colour scheme running throughout the house, was designed and installed to seamlessly connect both levels.
The ground floor was reimagined as a luxurious open-plan living space. Premium flooring was laid throughout, complementing the sleek, minimalistic kitchen, which was equipped with state-of-the-art gadgets. Two sets of bifold doors created a stunning transition between the lounge and the decking area, inviting natural light to flood the space and effortlessly blending indoor and outdoor living.
A small rear extension was added to accommodate a porch/boot room and a downstairs WC, enhancing the homes practicality. The project was delivered as a full turnkey package, with Culmex collaborating closely with the client from inception to final decoration and finishing touches.
