College Court, Uffculme

This project involved a comprehensive partial refurbishment alongside significant structural modifications to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. The scope of work commenced with the careful stripping out of the existing kitchen to facilitate the installation of a structural support member within the wall separating the kitchen and dining room. This intervention enabled the creation of a spacious, open-plan kitchen diner, improving the flow and usability of the space.

A key aspect of the refurbishment was a thermal upgrade of the existing flooring. This was achieved by removing the original floor and replacing it with a premium grade engineered flooring, laid overly newly installed high-performance insulation to enhance energy efficiency and comfort.

A brand-new, modern kitchen was installed, designed to seamlessly integrate with a bespoke oak joinery staircase. The staircase was reconfigured with and altered opening to replace the existing structure, contributing to a more contemporary and open living environment.

Additionally, the children’s playroom was enhanced with the continuation of the high-quality oak flooring, ensuring cohesion throughout the space. The project was brought to completion with meticulous second-fix carpentry, refining the overall finish and achieving a polished, high-specification result.
